Hispanic Heritage Month
Thank you to Mr. Espinosa, the Faculty and Student Committees, Participants, and Guests for an amazing Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration.  Students were invited to browse artifacts and sample food from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico,  El Salvador, and Ecuador.

Students sang, waved flags, read poetry, were offered brochures, and literature to learn about the different cultures in a fun way. Thank you to Matthew Lyons and Jose Alicea for their musical performances.  Thank you also to Mr. Baier for engaging students in activities to research the histories of Hispanic cultures and engaging students in sharing their work.

Also thank you for the following:

"Perfect" by Noel Quinones (Slam Poetry).
"Afro-Latina" by Elizabeth Acevedo (Slam Poetry).
Introduction of Bryan Adams Dejesus, 12 minute documentary
Reggaton singing performance by Jose Alicea

It was an amazing event where we were able to learn a lot and have fun doing it!

Please stay tuned for our Black History Month Celebration coming soon.
